The schedule

Dates marked reported come from press coverage and are not confirmed by Blizzard. We update this page and Discord when they change.

  1. Oct 27 to Nov 3

    Early name reservation

    Reported, not confirmed

Reported, not confirmed by Blizzard, so treat the dates as provisional. We post the official window in Discord as soon as Blizzard announces it.

  2. Nov 4

    Forever launches

    Confirmed

3 PM PT. Expect long queues: the beta saw queues of more than 22,000 players.

  3. Dec 9

    Raids unlock

    Confirmed

Barrow Deeps (10) and Hyjal Summit (20) are confirmed. Onyxia’s Lair (40) is reported. Blizzard has not announced the time of day.

Before launch

Five things to have done before the servers open.

  1. Sign in with Battle.net

Your Battle.net account is how the site knows who you are. We never see your password.

  2. Link your Discord account

Raid sign-ups, role sync and messages from officers all run through Discord, so linking it is part of onboarding.

  3. Apply

Finish onboarding, then send your application. Officers read every one, and you get a Discord message when it is decided.

    Apply to the Legion

  4. Install the required add-ons

A boss mod, the built-in damage meter and Cooldown Manager, and Gargul if you will handle loot.

    See the add-ons

  5. Pick a two-part name, and a backup

Forever names have a first and a last part and are unique across the whole region, so a name you like can be gone by launch night. Decide on a backup now.

If Horde creation is locked

The PvP ruleset allows one faction per account, and Blizzard has said it may pause new characters for one faction to keep the sides balanced.

Watching

We plan for a Horde character-creation lock at launch. Details will be posted here.

  1. Join the waitlist

Apply as normal. If you are accepted while Horde creation is locked, you wait in a queue ordered by role need.

  2. Join the reserve guild

Legion of Terror Reserve, our sister guild, can keep you with us while you wait. Officers post how to join in Discord once the lock is real.

  3. Check Discord

Lock status, waitlist moves and any change of plan are posted there first.

Leveling groups

To be announced in DiscordGroups, leads and meeting points are posted in Discord before launch.

Launch-night meeting

To be announced in DiscordThe time and the place are posted in Discord once they are set.
